The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has renewed its partnership with Africa Global Logistics (AGL), appointing the logistics powerhouse as the Official Logistics Partner for the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026.
The agreement was formalized on April 23, 2025, in Johannesburg by CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe and AGL President Philippe Labonne, reinforcing a collaboration that began during AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
Dr. Motsepe expressed CAF’s enthusiasm, stating, “AGL is a leading logistics company and its partnership with CAF reflects the substantial commitment by both parties to the development and growth of football for men and women in Africa.”
The renewed alliance emphasizes not only operational excellence for Africa’s premier football tournaments but also the broader impact of football on the continent. AFCON, one of the most-watched sports events globally, garners over 1.5 billion viewers across 178 countries, offering a unique platform for economic engagement and social transformation.
Philippe Labonne highlighted the broader mission behind the deal: “We aim to support the successful organization of major tournaments like AFCON and WAFCON, and also to transform African football into a lasting driver of economic and social development.”
AGL’s role will span the entire logistics chain — from transportation and infrastructure to sustainable solutions — helping ensure smooth tournament operations while contributing to local capacity building and job creation. With a presence in 47 African countries, AGL is poised to make a measurable difference both on and off the pitch.
Of particular note is AGL’s support for WAFCON 2026, underlining a shared commitment to gender inclusion and the growth of women’s football across Africa.
As football continues to unite the continent, this partnership showcases how sport can also serve as a powerful engine for development, inclusion, and prosperity.
