Hapoel Be’er Sheva and Lech Poznan draw to keep Conference League group tight

In the last minute of the match, Hapoel Be'er Sheva were awarded a free kick

It was one of those moments where you could feel how the vibes of Turner Stadium were  working.

Helder Lopes was getting ready to take the kick, but this time, the magic didn't work.

Maybe the absence of this magic was par for the course for Hapoel Be’er Sheba’s Europa Conference League campaign this season.

The Israeli Cup winners have three draws in their first four matches, and are without a win. Their mission to reach the next stage is complicated.

The game against Lech Poznan began with this ‘magical’ feeling.

A large tifo, hypnotising the field, reading:  "Repeat Me: You Can Do It." The message worked well.

In the 8th minute, Shay Elias tackled Joel Pereira to hand Hapoel Be'er Sheva a penalty kick. Tomer Hemed converted from the spot.

Until the end of the first half, the Polish side started to play better and pushed closer to the goal.

Just before half-time, a corner was crossed in from the left-hand side - Filip Szymczak scored the equalizer.

The magic of Turner had disappeared.

In the second half, both sides failed to find the winning goal - the match was another draw.

Besides the expected defeats against Villarreal, three out of four matches between the other three sides of Group C, have ended with a draw.

The group is still all to play for.
