Mourinho strikes again as Fenerbahçe loses to arch-rivals Galatasaray

On Wednesday, during the Turkish Cup quarter-final, Fenerbahçe suffered a 2-1 defeat to their arch-rivals Galatasaray.

The match was intense, culminating in a stoppage-time brawl that resulted in red cards for three players and one assistant coach.

Post-match tensions escalated when Fenerbahçe's manager, José Mourinho, confronted Galatasaray's manager, Okan Buruk. Mourinho pinched Buruk's nose, causing Buruk to fall to the ground in apparent distress. Fenerbahçe defended Mourinho, accusing Buruk of provocation and exaggerating his reaction, likening it to his history of diving during his playing career.

This incident adds to Mourinho's history of controversial touchline behavior, including a 2011 altercation where he poked Barcelona assistant Tito Vilanova in the eye. Earlier in the season, Mourinho received a four-match ban and a fine from the Turkish Football Federation for derogatory comments about referees following a match against Galatasaray.

The Turkish football authorities are expected to review this latest incident for potential disciplinary action.
