Cristiano Ronaldo to Miss Al-Nassr’s Match in Tehran

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of Al-Nassr’s squad for their AFC Champions League clash against Esteghlal in Tehran on Tuesday.

According to sources in Saudi Arabia, the decision was influenced by security concerns and match scheduling.

Al-Nassr had requested to move the match to Dubai due to concerns over the quality and scale of security arrangements for both the team and Ronaldo in Iran. However, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) rejected the request. Additionally, with the match coming just days after Al-Nassr’s latest league fixture, the club opted to rest Ronaldo for the return leg.

Ronaldo’s absence is expected to impact not only Al-Nassr’s performance but also the excitement of Iranian fans, who were eagerly anticipating his visit.
