FIFA U-20 World Cup 2025 Draw Set for Santiago, Chile

SANTIAGO – With anticipation building across the globe, the official draw for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Chile 2025™ is set to take place this Thursday, May 29, in the Chilean capital, marking a major milestone on the road to one of youth football’s most prestigious tournaments.

Hosted at the Chilevisión Machasa studios in Santiago, the ceremony will be presented by Chilean journalist Javiera Naranjo, with FIFA Director of Tournaments Jaime Yarza overseeing the draw. Lending star power to the proceedings will be Juan Pablo Sorín, the legendary Argentine captain who lifted the trophy in 1995 and went on to feature in two senior FIFA World Cups.

Chile’s Historic Role as Host

Chile will be staging the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the second time, having last hosted in 1987, when Yugoslavia triumphed over West Germany in a dramatic final. This year’s edition will see matches played in Santiago, Valparaíso, Rancagua, and Talca, with the competition set to run from September 27 to October 19.

In the lead-up to the draw, FIFA has already unveiled the tournament’s official emblem, mascot (Vito™), and launched its volunteer programme. Fans eager to attend the action in person can now register their interest for tickets.
